Post mistake.

On the 'next post' back of Rover estate and Triumph Spitfire MK3 is further down the list, don't know why!

TJ

Two lovely ol' Rovers!

An estate and a saloon.

Back of the estate coming up.

All go ere...

1972 Triumph 2500 and another Vauxhall Cresta!

This Cresta was just leaving the show. And this 1972 Triumph 2500 was one of at least seven here.

The last four 1500's.

Here are the final four Wolseley's.

New day different cars! NSU and one of five Wolseleys!

Here we have an NSU (don't know what make it is) and one of five Wolseley 1500's!

Back of the Rover estate and a 1968 Spitfire MK3.

The title says it all!

Wednesday 16 January 2008

Two completly different cars, on the same post!

On the left we have a very rare Peerless 2 litre GT and on the right we have the Austin Maxi Club.
See what I mean?

1971 Wolseley 16/60 and a Ford Consul MK2.

The Consul is original and, with one letter missing from the front lettering, you can see so! Probably '56 to '60. As for the 16/60, I think it's 1971..

Both the same, almost!

Only the badge seperates these two. 1971 Morris and Austin Camper.

Two Ford Thames's.

These two are in fine condition.
But I tell you a story. The last Thames on this blog (I think it was the one at Whitewebbs) was owned by Jenson Button's Grandfather!

Two old Rovers.

Two very similar Rover P4's here. One from 1949 and the 0ther from 1950.

Two Morris vans.

Just on the heels of that wonderful Cresta estate are these two.
A Morris Oxford MO van and a Morris Post Office Van!

Bedfords through the years eh?

Here is an M. Harris & Sons furniture Bedford van and a 1966 Bedford PU. Look at those wingmirrors on the PU!

Ahhh, the good ol' days!

School buses from the fifties. Brought back some memories for dad!

Commercial Bedford Pick-up and a 1963 Wolseley!

This Bedford was quite big!
And this Wolseley was tiny in comparison.

This is it!

This was the highlight of this show for me.
Front and back of a 1960 Vauxhall Cresta Automatic Estate! This was IMMACULATE!

Two more...

I've decided to keep you in suspence a little longer...

First two of SIX Crestas!

So here we have two Crestas of a remarkable six in a row here at Bromley! One of these if very special, which will be coming up next. These two are probably mid 50's.

1950 Simca Ariane and a 40's Talbot!

So, here we have a Simca Ariane and a 40's Talbot.

The Simca's are quite rare now.

The club associates with Matra, Talbot and Peugeot so I thought I might as well add this picture of the Talbot to this post. If you have a Simca and haven't got in touch with the club yet, go to www.simcatalbotclub.org to find more details.

1972 Simca 1100 Estate!

Do you remember last year I was telling you that my dad has a Simca 1501s? Well here are a few more of these french Chryslers. Get to know them! This one is a 1100 GLS estate.

Riley...

I'm not sure whether this is a Riley RME, RMA or RMB. It's hard to tell the difference!

1965 Triumph Herald and GT6!

This Herald is the model where the whole front lifts up to reveal the engine. And this GT6 was in the 'Classics Monthly' magazine hut.

1967 Vitesse and Cortina estate!

Here we have a very early and pretty much original Vitesse.
And the longest name in British Motoring! 1970 Ford Cortina MK2 1600 GT Estate!

Time for Bromley!

So then, its time for the first

blogging of 2008! I wish you a belated Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

So, first we have at the Bromley Motor show, a 50's Bentley and a '71 Bedford Camper.

Bedfords through the years eh?

Bromley Classic Motor Show!
